2006-present

This series of fruit and vegetable still-lifes are shot on medium format film and printed as archival inkjet prints. I choose the fruits and vegetables for their shape, texture and color. I arrange them to emphasize their beauty, character, or symbolism or to evoke human characteristics. The source, purity, and environmental impact of our food is a topic of great concern these days. These images reflect that interest, even obsession with the meaning of what we eat.
