My artwork explores the continuum of realism to fiction that photography can offer. I have used straight film-based darkroom techniques, collage and paint, as well as digital alterations to create the works in my portfolio. The verisimilitude of photography offers an ideal medium both for capturing detail, and for releasing the imagination. I use this hook of believability to create the worlds depicted in my photographs. I stage objects, assemble negatives, or subtly alter the scene captured on the film or CCD. These photographs invite you to submit your imagination to another depiction of a reality: a time, space, and world distinct from your own.
