In June of 2021 my sisters and I went to our hometown in Iowa to empty out our childhood home so it could be sold. The house our parents had built and lived in for 60 years would now have a new family in it, and we said our goodbyes to a dwelling that seemed like a sixth member of our family. The link above is to a video I made from still photographs taken in the two weeks we worked on emptying the house. The soundtrack is train sounds and birdsong recorded while standing one last time in the backyard.
