How much of our identity is carried in inherited threads of DNA, and how much is defined by family history that links us back to generations of ancestors? In this exhibition we are exploring the concept of lineage in artwork inspired by family photographs, oral legends, and our own fragile memories. With the deaths of both our parents in the last three years, we lost a vital connection to our pasts. In the process of grieving and of emptying our childhood home, we have faced with renewed intensity many issues surrounding where we came from, and how the past delineates our present and futures.
