These photographs were made in 1996-1998 when I lived in Poland and Germany. I traveled as well to Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Sometimes I used antique cameras I found in junk markets there. I focused on settings that showed the marks of history, such as Renaissance facades and remnants of the socialist landscape.
